Motorised Blinds

Whether it is for those hard to reach conservatory roofs, Velux roof lights or just that touch of luxury EuroBlinds offer a huge range of motorised blinds for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Outdoor awnings can be controlled automatically with sun and wind sensors to be out when they are needed and tucked away automatically when the weather changes without you needing to keep an eye. Alternatively you can control your awning remotely; the same remote control can also be used to operate the lights and heaters on your awning.

EuroBlinds have just as many options for inside your home. Roof blinds including Velux and conservatory blind systems don’t need be left in a set position because of the difficulty reaching them. A number of motorised alternatives for this type of glazing are possible including a solar powered option.  At the touch of a button you could have all of the blinds open/close simultaneously or choose to operate each blind individually. The most popular for these windows are roller and pleated blinds; however EuroBlinds range is not limited to these, as they also offer electric curtain tracks, vertical and roman blind automation. You can be relaxing on the other side of the room and open, close and rotate the blind remotely. Alternatively, why not let your blind control itself, opening when light outside and closing when it gets dark. A great option if you are going away.

The law relating to child safety has recently changed and we would encourage everyone to check any blind cords are out of children’s reach.  As members of the Make it Safe campaign, all blinds are offered with a child safety device. However electrically operated systems are inherently child safe as they present no potential hazard from looped cords, making them child friendly.  If you would like further information on our blinds or child safety please visit our website www.euro-blinds.co.uk, www.makeitsafe.org.uk or give us a call on 01803 311222.

Visit our Kingsteignton showroom to experience a wide range of remote controlled blinds including, vertical blinds, roller blinds, pleated, venetian blinds and several types of awnings.

Save energy and money

With curtains and blinds

Blinds are not only for those bright summer days but winter too!

Did you know that by installing blinds you can reduce the heat loss through windows by up to 40%? This means for every £1,000 spent on heating you could save £70.

Keep warm and save money

Using blinds correctly in winter can cut down heat loss through windows. This reduces the demand for heating and lowers energy bills.

Getting the most out of your blinds

  • In winter close the blinds after the sun goes down to retain the heat
  • In winter on sunny days open the blinds during the daytime to maximise heat gain from the winter sun
  • Blinds in unoccupied rooms should be closed.

How much could you save?

Blinds are typically low cost insulation products

Conservatory awnings; the stylish alternative to indoor conservatory blinds

Design - Sunlight all year round is perhaps the most important factor that turns a pleasant room into a favourite one. The classic conservatory, the glass-covered veranda, loggia or pergola: markilux conservatory awnings regulate the light influx that brightens your winter and cools your summer, whether fitted internally or externally.

Innovation no more trapped flies in roof blinds our awnings self clean for a smart finish for years to come. The materials used meet the highest standards to ensure problem free operation, all operated at the touch of a button. An external awning will also cut down the noise from the rain on your roof.

Functionality - Keeping you cool and saving you energy . The big advantage of solar shading lies in their flexibility. They can be put to use according to the time of day or year so that they positively influence the overall energy balance of a building. Shading windows and glass areas in this way in the summer months results in a reduced use of air conditioning. In the colder months exterior sunshading products can be retracted during the day to allow the energy supplied by the winter sun to bolster the building's central heating system. At night a combination of interior and exterior sunshading can assist in building up a cushion of air that will slow down the loss of heat . The energy consumption for heating a house can be reduced by up to 10% in this way.

Safety – So that you can enjoy the use of your awning without a care our awnings have been tested in line with the European Standard EN 13561at wind speeds up to Beaufort 5 (some models and sizes up to wind resistance class 3, corresponds to Beaufort 6). The CE mark confirms the achievement of this safety and quality standard.

Service Call EuroBlinds for a free, no obligation site survey, or visit the showroom to find out how they will take care of everything for you, from the measuring and fitting of new awnings to the maintenance and recovering of existing frames
Conservatory awnings make up just one section of our extensive balcony and patio awnings, for creating your favourite spot in the shade.
