Save energy and money

With curtains and blinds

Blinds are not only for those bright summer days but winter too!

Did you know that by installing blinds you can reduce the heat loss through windows by up to 40%? This means for every £1,000 spent on heating you could save £70.

Keep warm and save money

Using blinds correctly in winter can cut down heat loss through windows. This reduces the demand for heating and lowers energy bills.

Getting the most out of your blinds

  • In winter close the blinds after the sun goes down to retain the heat
  • In winter on sunny days open the blinds during the daytime to maximise heat gain from the winter sun
  • Blinds in unoccupied rooms should be closed.

How much could you save?

Blinds are typically low cost insulation products

The Green Deal

The Green Deal is a Government initiative that is designed to encourage the installation of certain approved energy efficiency measures in homes and other buildings. The principle of the Green Deal is that the investment in the energy saving measure will be recouped through lower energy bill.
Blinds are a recognised energy efficient measure under the Green Deal.

New Look!

Our showroom transformation is now complete

We have a large area dedicated to outdoor blinds where you can see and try out, full size and fully operational, awning with the latest in awning technology.

We are particularly excited about the Markilux 6000 we have on display. This awning will not only extend your living space into the garden but is remotely operated for that touch of luxury, can be fitted with lights and heaters to lengthen the time you spend relaxing outside and can even connect to your ipod or mp3 player to play your music with no unsightly speakers.

To keep the inside of your home looking just as stylish we have an even larger range of materials than ever before. These can become curtains, roman blinds, vertical blinds, venetians, rollers (including duo rollers) and conservatory blinds. All of our new materials are now available and we’re pleased to say colour and pattern are back! So as well as the old favourites we also now have a large range of textured and patterned fabrics.

Why stop there we also offer a wide range of accessories to match your window dressing including cushions, bed throws/runners, headboards, table runners and our most recent addition lampshades.
